"Something stolen is just gonna keep gettin' stole. You'll start to fear and resent your neighbour. It's an endless cycle of misfortune. How can anyone take pride in livin' off someone else's work, stolen by force? I couldn't. No, we can't steal our way to a good life. We gotta shape our reality with our own two hands! We welcome anyone who wants to be their own change. Here, together, we write our own futures!"

Profile[]
Due to the prevalent discrimination against the paripus tribe, Catherina is very distrustful of others, believing they only want to use her for their own personal benefit. Before the royal funeral, she mostly takes bounties for the state and has single-handedly cleared most of them. It is said that she would have gained more recognition if she wasn't a paripus.
After the royal funeral and the takeover of the Regalith Grand Cathedral, Catherina's friend was trapped within, and she was desperate to save her. After being wounded, with thorough convincing, she entrusts the protagonist and company to save her friend, promising to repay them. However, the party finds her friend dead.
When Catherina regroups with the protagonist, she is surprised by his unconditional help. She also explains that her friend was hired under a noble, and though she helped the baron following the incident, she didn't make it, only for the noble to laugh at using her for his own personal benefit. Infuriated by the state of the world, she strives to fix the broken world. She then forms a bond with the protagonist.
Days afterwards, Catherina decides to join the Tournament for the Throne for the betterment of her tribe as well as promising to execute the corrupt nobles that have profited so much over the suffering of others and redistribute their wealth. The party runs into her during their hunt for Heismay Noctule after Catherina forces the protagonist into battle, deepening her bond with him after she's defeated. She later admits she got most of her ideals from conversing with a clemar named Manihot. After being defeated three times, Catherina will step off as an independent candidate and side with the protagonist instead.
