Bless (祝福, Shukufuku)? is a skill type in the series. In most games, it consists of healing and status restoring spells which cannot miss. In Persona 5, it instead refers to the offensive spells most commonly known as Expel Skills.
In Megami Ibunroku Persona, it is a subtype of Light Skills.
General spell
Dia Family
Skills with the root word "Dia" are HP healing spells. "Dia" is Greek for "to pass through" (common in medical terms, could mean that magic passes through the body to heal it) as well as Spanish for "Day" (the sun was believed to naturally heal people of illness) and Sanskrit for "deserving of gifts" (the gift of health?). However, because in the very first game of the series there are only "Medi" (メディ), "Medica" (メディカ) and "Medical" (メディカル) in the HP healing spell family, implying that "Dia" was just alternated from "Medical" in the subsequent games to denote the weakened version of the spell.
