Bizen-Osafune is named after the city of Bizen in the Okayama Prefecture and the Bizen-no-kuni province of yore. The city was known for being a center of swordsmithing ages ago; a great factory of Japanese swords, where many smiths gathered and shared their knowledge or took apprentices. Its destruction by a flood is considered the end of the Koto period and the beginning of the Shinto period, in the history of Nihonto. The city has a museum named the Bizen-Osafune, where swords from previous eras and ones forged in Bizen are on display.
Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon[]
Bizen-osafune is one of the first two options available to evolve from Renki once sword alchemy becomes available. The Bizen-osafune increases Raidou's Magic and Luck by 1 and its Item Bonus skill increases boosts the effectiveness of recovery items. The Bizen-osafune can become the Kanesada, Kotetsu or Nagamitsu through further sword alchemy.
The Bizen Osafune is a weapon for Tatsuya Suou. It can be purchased from the Jolly Roger for ¥170,000 after completing Caracol and spreading the rumor, "quality and price are normal."
