Barbatos is the 8th demonic spirit of the Ars Goetia. He is either a great Duke or Earl of Hell and appears with four noble kings as well as their companions in great troops. He gives understanding of the singing of birds and communications of other animals. He can also break open treasures that have been hidden or locked with the magic of magicians. He was of the order of [[Virtue]]s. He knows all things of the past and future and can reconcile with friends or those in power. He rules over 30 legions of demons.
