She gives a dry impression, but has a deep and romantic side. She would be in a relationship with Saizo, but for yet unspecified reasons they would have broken up. She helped Zenon obtain his Covenant by killing Saizo, but apparently she didn't mean it.[1]
Ash and Saizo would begin dating soon after a one-off job offered from the Phantom Society, in which Saizo would rescue Ash from a demon. The two would realize that they both wanted the same thing, which is the freedom from the dirty Summoner life and what Saizo would term "Summoner's karma," where they can leave their past behind and live a normal life. The two would move together and Saizo would settle for lighter paychecks as a freelancer while straying away from shady jobs.
According to Saizo, Ash would be caught up under the fear and guilt of her destiny and karma, compromising her free will under the control of the Iron Mask. She would call up Saizo for a sudden rendezvous, demanding he gives her his Covenant. Since she was left in the dark about Iron Mask's true intentions down to what the Covenant itself is, she accidentally lured him into a trap from the Iron Mask, whom would have Zenon kill him and steal his Covenant on the spot. Ash herself wasn't able to retaliate against the Iron Mask due to fear for her life at a meaningless price. Because of that, Ash would continue doing his bidding. Although Saizo defends her that she didn't try to get him killed, Ash blames herself for not trusting him over Phantom Society and giving in to her fear, which is what ultimately gave them the opportunity to kill him.
Ash would later support Iron Mask in securing his assassination on Mangetsu Kuzunoha in Subway Line 14, by stalling Ringo and company enough so that they don't reach him first. She would be shocked at Saizo's sudden revival, but would insist she's only manipulated Saizo to support Phantom Society.
Saizo would later confront Ash again, at which point she's defeated by the party. Although she insists out of guilt that things cannot go back to the way they were for her, Saizo forgives her and lets the two start anew. She would later betray Iron Mask, freeing Ringo's team from his trap and giving them the opening to strike against him.
In the end, Saizo and Ash talk it out at Bar Heidrun, where Ash decides she wants to stay at Phantom Society. She explains that she was confused about what was going through her head back then, but now she's truly free. In spite of not completely mending her relationship with Saizo, she admits her feelings for him through a kiss, and out of sheer paranoia would later ask Ringo to check why he was shopping for jewelry and female clothing, relieved when she finds out it's a gift for her.
Upon the completion of Saizo's 4th Level Soul Matrix, Ringo and Saizo see a potential vision of the future. They see that not only Saizo and Ash get together, but they have a child together much to Saizo's delight. In that vision, they divide the work between taking care of their child and taking on freelance devil summoner work. In both versions of the ending, Saizo heads off to try to make this future come true to trying to work things out with Ash.
During the second fight at Ozaki Hope Towers, Ash will summon a Pazuzu to assist her in battle. This Pazuzu has a special skill called Miasma Breath which fills the battlefield with a miasma that damages the party each turn. This damage is applied at the end of every turn, before the Sabbath attack is performed, and increases incrementally each turn the miasma is active. Defeating Pazuzu will dispel the miasma. This will, however, put pressure on the party to deal with Pazuzu quickly whenever he is resummoned to the battle.
The rest of Ash's demons will consist of Inugami, Lilim and Basilisk, all three of which will focus on afflicting the party with status ailments. Inugami will attempt to poison the party with Blight, Lilim will use Bewitching Gaze and Frolic to inflict Daze on one or multiple party members, and Basilisk will use Demonic Gaze to inflict Dread on a party member.
Ash is weak to Force skills, Pazuzu is weak to Ice skills, Inugami is weak to Force skills, Lilim is weak to Ice skills, and finally Basilisk is weak to both Physical skills and Ice skills. Despite resisting Ruin skills, Ash's Inugami can easily be afflicted with Poison, which will help drain its HP quickly.
Ash herself will initially use Accelerate to increase the number of actions she can take. She will summon Pazuzu the first round, followed by Inugami and Lilim when she gets lower on HP. She will also begin using Spellproof Wall to repel magic attacks back at the party and Overload to buff her demons. At the next HP break point, she will summon Pazuzu and Basilisk. And very low HP she will continually resummon Pazuzu to the field.
