Armaiti ("beneficent devotion") is one of the Amesha Spentas in Zoroastrianism. She is the personification of holy devotion, the daughter of the creator, Ahura Mazda, and represents righteous obedience. She is associated with the earth and in that capacity she is the goddess of fertility and the dead, who are buried in the earth. The fifth day of every month and the twelfth month are dedicated to her. Her eternal opponent is the archdemon of discontent, Nanghaithya.
Armaiti has come to know about the Qadištu and is trying to oppose their methods of tempting people into sinning and harvesting Magatsuhi. Armaiti can be found twice in the game, both as a sub-quest client. Her questline can be unlocked only after Dazai arrives at the Fairy Village, and if the Mermaid questline has been completed. Fulfilling these conditions will allow Armaiti to appear in the same place Anahita was.
The first time, Armaiti appears in Onarimon, in Minato, as the client for the "Guide to the Lost" side-quest. Armaiti will explain the situation to the protagonist and will task him to return the people in Tokyo that have fell into sin to normal. After the protagonist has the people return back to their senses, he will discover that a Pisaca aligned with the Qadištu was behind the strange changes in behavior and will defeat him. Armaiti will be thankful for the help received and leave, hoping the protagonist will help her again should the need arise.
Provided the previous side-quest has been completed, Armaiti will appear a second time in Shinjuku, tasking the protagonist to defeat Mara, who has been tainting Shinjuku with his actions, starting the "Devotion to Order" side-quest. After the defeat of the demon, depending on what the protagonist told Mara, Armaiti will have a different reaction that will shift the protagonist's alignment. Saying "I don't understand" will have Armaiti pleased by his choice of words, shifting the alignment to Law; on other hand, saying "I understand" will have her disapprove of his ideals but will compliment him for having defeated Mara anyway, shifting the alignment to Chaos. Regardless of the choice, Armaiti will decide to aid the protagonist should he need her help.
Completing both side-quests unlocks Armaiti for fusion.
Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers[]
"A female angel of Zoroastrianism and one of the Amesha Spenta. She is the daughter of the head god Ahura Mazda and sits in his left hand. Armaiti is roughly translated as "devotion", and she is the personification of piety. It hurts her consciousness when a guilty person walks by, but she rejoices when people are feeding their animals or obeying the heavens. Her rivals include Taromaiti."

Soul Hackers 2[]
"A female angel of Zoroastrianism and one of the Amesha Spenta. She is the daughter or the head god Ahura Mazda, and sits in his left hand. Armaiti's name can be roughly translated as "devotion," and she is also regarded as the personification of piety. It hurts her consciousness when a guilty person walks by, but she rejoices at the sight of people feeding their animals or obeying the heavens. Taromaiti is one of her rivals."

Armaiti is a demon of the Herald race added by the DLC Bonus Demons pack. Once Ringo reaches level 43, she can summon Armaiti at the Cirque du Goumaden through a special fusion of Vasuki, Mithras and Archangel. Armaiti can also be summoned once for free from the compendium.
In the English version of the PSP port of Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Armaiti is mistakenly referred as a male in her profile. In the original version of the game, her profile explicitly says that she is the daughter of Ahura Mazda. Her PSP profile removes the reference to her father and never states her gender, which led to the confusion.
