"I am a shadow… I am the true self… You find yourself entangled in the affairs of the Kirijo group, yet no one acknowledges you for that strife… Have you so easily accepted this fate?!"
Arche-Penthesilea is a boss in Persona 3 Em and the Arche form of Mitsuru Kirijo's initial Persona, Penthesilea.
Appearances[]
- Persona 3 Em: Boss
Design[]
Arche-Penthesilea appears in battle without a Persona User and takes the form of Penthesilea.
Meaning[]
The Arche Persona symbolizes a part of a person that they do not fully understand and that is difficult for them to accept, similar to the function of Shadows in Persona 4. Arche-Penthesilea plays on Mitsuru's ambivalence towards her situation and her role in both S.E.E.S. and society as a whole, as well as her guilt for the past actions of the Kirijo Group. The pre-battle dialogue options are "That may be true..." and "That's wrong!".
The stats of Arche-Penthesilea mirror those of Penthesilea, which also symbolizes its shadowy, opposite nature.
