Arcana Strength is a full moon boss in Persona 3 fought alongside Arcana Fortune during the seventh Full Moon Operation on October 4th.
Appearance[]
- Persona 3 / FES / Portable / Reload: Full Moon Operation boss, October 4
- Persona 3 The Movie
Details[]
Like the other Full Moon bosses, Arcana Strength represents the inverse form of the Strength Tarot card. It represents the desire to protect only a single person instead of helping many others. As a result, it renders Fortune untargetable at the start of the battle, and goes out of its way trying to spam physical attacks against the party.
The Strength Arcana also has the second name Fortitude, which means to be courageous in the face to danger. The inverse of this trait is evident with the Shadow's susceptibility to the Fear ailment in the original games.
Profile[]
Persona 3[]
Arcana Strength is a Shadow wearing a Strength Arcana mask, like the other bosses. The creature takes the form of a woman in a dress over a swirling bundle of flowers, similar to the woman from the actual tarot card.
Unlike most bosses, it is vulnerable to instant death if the skill Ghastly Wail is used after it becomes fearful because of Arcana Fortune's Wheel of Fortune attack (the same is true if a party member is afflicted). When the battle begins, Arcana Strength casts a shield on Arcana Fortune that protects it until it is defeated. Throughout the battle, Arcana Strength attacks physically and inflicts status ailments, such as Charm, with Sexy Dance. Upon Arcana Fortune's Wheel of Fortune, it is possible to negatively affect Arcana Strength by landing on blue squares. Arcana Strength will not be knocked down by critical hits from the party, eliminating the possibility of All-Out Attacks. After Arcana Strength is defeated, its protection over Arcana Fortune dissipates.
