Amateratsu

Amaterasu, the leading Amatsu

The Amatsu, the shortened form of Heavenly Gods (天津神, Amatsukami)?, or Tenjin (天神*)? in Majin Tensei II: Spiral Nemesis, is a demon race that exclusively contains deities from Japanese mythology. Their relationship with the Kunitsu is a little like the rivalry between the Deities and the Tyrants, in that they are opposing forces. They represent heaven and conquered the earth inhabited by their rival kunitsukami. They are Light-Law and belong to the Gods species.

In Shin Megami Tensei V, no demons of the Amatsu race can be summoned in battle. Instead, the race plays a major role in the story, where Tsukuyomi, disguised as Hayao Koshimizu, strives to claim the Throne of Creation to shape a world of myriad gods. Additionally, his brother, Susano-o, known as Aogami, fuses with the protagonist, becoming a Nahobino of their own right.
