Akane Mall is a shopping center in the Akanedai district of Amami City.
The protagonist receives a troubled call from Tomoko stating their father was caught up in a riot at Akane Mall. Arriving at the scene, several people are seen in a deranged and agitated state. An employee states the rioters came from a back door, leading to the warehouses. After locating the key, the protagonist and Nemissa head through the door and along the path leading to the mall's warehouses. Inside, they proceed through the unusual security system while seeing more rioters.
Eventually, they locate a secret laboratory in the basement of one of the warehouses. There they find the protagonist's father in a disturbed and unresponsive state, similar to the other rioters. Placing him at a safe location, they proceed deeper to find out the truth. They eventually find a chamber with cryogenic vaults, and encounter Sukeroku. He mentions that the rioters and strange illness sweeping through Amami City is somehow linked to the Krypto Chip that Algon Soft uses in their distributed PCs.
