Agathion appears in the initial southern areas of the Fairy Forest. It can teach the Pulinpa, Dream Fist, Zionga and Mazio skills during Demon Whisper. This demon receives a slight boost to Electricity and ailment skills gained through fusion.

Agathion begins appearing as an enemy in Hamamatsucho. One Agathion will tell the protagonist about trouble their group has been having with Daemons, and issue the "Bully Breaker" subquest. Completing the subquest will result in the protagonist receiving Agathion's Essence.
Apsaras will summon three stronger Agathion during the subquest "The Water Nymph" should she confront the protagonist for siding with Leanan Sidhe.

Agathion is the first demon of the Volt Order and can be found in the Daidouji Residence near the beginning of the game and in Dark Tsukudo-Cho. As a demon of the Volt Order, it would be one of the demons needed to dispel the barrier preventing Raidou from reaching the Tsuchigumo holding Rin hostage in the Dark Realm.
Agathion's normal attack is a short range, spinning two-hit attack. It is the only source of the Shock Shot combination skill and the first of the two that learn the Elec Boost passive skill. Agathion possesses the little kid personality type.
An Agathion in Dark Tsukudo-Cho can be found hanging around an alley, and will ask Raidou if he collects bugs. If Raidou answers yes, he will ask why Raidou doesn't have any and then give out a hint involving sweets, tall trees and deserted areas. If Raidou sends out a demon solo in the real Tsukudo-Cho, his demons can find Ice Cream and Syrup. Taking these to the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda and interacting with the first lamp on the left will allow Raidou to spread the Ice Cream and Syrup on a gigantic tree as bait. Returning during a Full Moon Phase after spreading the Ice Cream will yield a Beetle, and returning during the Full moon phase after spreading the syrup will yield a Stag Beetle. Returning these to the Agathion instead of selling them will yield higher value items, with the Beetle being redeemed for a Javanese Figure worth 10,000 yen and the Stag Beetle being redeemed for a Roman Coin worth 13,000 yen.

In the Animation, Daichi once summoned it along with an Obariyon to fight in episode 3. However, they only fled after getting scared by a Gozuki.

Agathion's jar has the Seal of Solomon or Ring of Solomon symbol on it, which the ring was said to give Solomon the power to command and control supernatural beings. The seal is also the predecessor of the Star of David. Although the jar's desgin was kept the same in most of Agathion's appearances (barring its different desgin in the Devil Children series), in Vengeance, Agathion's jar has been censored to remove all of the lines inside the of the star and replace it with an eye design in the middle of it.
