Like I mentioned previously, the next P25th announcement is in February, which is prime Nintendo Direct season. So if the next thing isn’t at least announced at a Nintendo Direct, I’ll be shocked.
As for what it is. While I would love LOVE LOVE for it to be a port of either Persona 3, 4, or 5. I have to be realistic and if it will be at Nintendo, it’s either going to be the dancing games or a Q and Q2 bundle. Of those, I’d prefer Q and Q2 because those are actually RPGs.
Although in a perfect world, here’s what I’d hope we’d be getting.
The Persona Anniversary Collection. Which includes the original Persona 1, the Persona 2 Duology, a remaster of Persona 3 which is based off the mechanics of portable (meaning FEMC and controllable party members) with FES’ world and the Answer included. In addition to Persona 4 Golden, based off the PC version, and Persona 5 Royal with the Kasumi DLC costumes costing SIGNIFICANTLY LESS.
Additionally, if people own the Joker Smash Bros. Amiibo, then a few percs will be added.
Smash’s renditions of Beneath the Mask and Aria of the Soul can be selected as battle music in P5.
P3 and P4 get Phantom Thief outfits.
P1 and the P2 Duology get P5 tracks.
Ideally, this collection would NOT be a cloud version. But honestly, I could unfortunately see Atlus going that route because if there were a physical version, getting it all to fit on one cartridge would be a lot. Another solution would be to have vanilla P5 as a base with Royal being a free (but most likely $10 (this is Atlus we’re talking about)) add on. But I don’t think people will be too happy about that. Or just sell the games individually. That would be better for everyone. I just hope it’s not cloud because the Kingdom Hearts cloud versions are terrible and I don’t want that happening to Persona.
So yeah, that’s my idea.
